August New Releases!
The summer is nearly over, and it’s nearly time to sit inside by the fire and build some wagon kits, so it seemed appropriate to relase some!
First up, much requested over on RMweb is the Blaencaelan lead ore wagon, a few people have asked for this to come to the range, so here it is!
Blaencaelan lead ore wagon – Usual Price ยฃ20.00

Following that we have some new releases in conjunction with Small Loco Works, some may know we worked together on the now unfortunately cancelled RTR LBSC D.1433 Covered wagon originally being launched by my old model shop, while that now isn’t happening, we are releasing the wagon as a kit for you to build yourself!
LB&SCR D.1433 Covered Goods Wagon – Usual Price ยฃ30.00

and also from Small Loco Works we have a rather unusual wagon in the form of the Forbes Abbott and Lennard acid tank wagon, with wooden construction and no brakes I’m not sure I would have wanted to be around this wagon when it was loaded with 1200Gal of acid!

and last, but by no means least, we have the first releases in my new wagon range.
When I started Oak Hill Works I imagined it being mostly wagon kits, and we seem to have been lacking in those with locos having taken preference recently, and given the recent success of generic carriages from some big manufacturers I decided why not make some generic wagons 17,280 different variations in fact!! No really 17,280 different wagons, all made by using a combination of parts that you can pick yourself and mix around, or as I like to call them, the Pick ‘n’ Mix wagons, currently the range consists of 9ft wheelbase wagons, but this will extend in time, though I have a lot more bodies to create before that happens.
Pick ‘n’ Mix Wagon Kits

The kits have a range of options, with 2 different chassis, and multiple headstocks and buffers to go on them
Pick ‘n’ Mix Wagon Chassis – Usual Price ยฃ7.00

and 3 different types of brakes that can be used with either chassis, on just one side, or on both
Pick ‘n’ Mix Wagon Brakes – Usual Price ยฃ2.00

A whole host of bodies to put on top, 12 in total, although limited to open wagons for the time being
Pick ‘n’ Mix Open Wagon Bodies – Usualy Price ยฃ15

and finally we have some accessories that can be added to any of the open bodies, though some of them might not look right together.
Pick ‘n’ Mix Open Wagon Accessories – Usual Price ยฃ1

Well, that seems like enough new wagons for now! I hope you enjoyed this months releases, and I’ll see you back here soon!
As usual thanks for checking in, and if you have any suggestions for future kits youโd like to see from us, you can send a suggestion via our contact form here
