Description
This is a 00 scale model of the diesel shunter ‘Courage’, better known as ‘Sweet Pea’. Built by Hunslet in 1935 it is arguably Britain’s smallest standard gauge diesel, today preserved at the Middleton Railway, Leeds.
This scratch aid provides the engine’s main shape and details, only requiring the roof supports to be fabricated. Designed as an unpowered model (for use with a motorised truck) the chassis, however, is separate so it can be interchanged with a scratch-built mechanism if preferred.
