We’ve got some Diesel shunters for you! These locos were the prototype for the Ruston 48DS as produced by Hornby, and use the chassis from that model, we’ve got it as built and after it had been rebuilt with a header tank for working at the Heinz factory!

We’ve also added a couple of nice pre-grouping horse boxes for the southern region with an LB&SCR and L&SWR design, the LB&SCR design even made it’s way to the Isle of Wight! I suppose we’ll have to add an SE&CR one at some point!

LB&SCR Horse Box (Usual price £30.00)

and to finish off the rolling stock for today, we have another wagon to addd to out SE&CR range, this time a 10t round ended wagon from the LC&DR

LC&DR Open Wagon (Usual price £20.00)

and as a final little thing for today’s additions, we’ve got our first bit of scenic detailing with a platform accessory kit, giving you some benches and trolleys for your station, there’s more to come from this line in the future too!

Platform Details (Usual price £8.00)

    Hi Gary,
I like the LSWR horse box & carriage truck. Tell me how are the axles/wheels designed to be retained please? In the axle boxes or in an etched subframe? Also I’m not familiar with these so what style of wheels do they need?
    Cheers,
    Phil B.

      Hi Phil,

The axles are designed to fit into the axle boxes on the model with pinpoint axles the same way as most RTR wagons, they use 14mm Mansell wheels, which are available from the Alan Gibson range, I get mine from H&A Models the 00 ones are here

      I hope this heps,

      Gary

Gary, just to confirm I think your stock is designed to use stand 26mm pin point axles which are almost standard now I believe. So as long as the wheels are to this standard they should be fine in my view.

Any chance of the Hudswell Clarke kits making a re-appearance in the near future?

      Hi Colin,

I’ve had a word with the designer, he cannot remember which Hudswell Clarke kits were in the Hardy’s range, and weather they were ones he designed, he is working on finding out, and they will be reintroduced if we can.

Thank you for the recent delivery of three of your loco bodies. Arrived sooner than expected and very happy with them. Just need to order some more handrail knobs now!

Ver good fit to the recommended chassis.
