Description
This model is an N Gauge rendition of ‘Dan’s Coach’ on a machinery wagon as in the 1953 Ealing Comedy ‘The Titfield Thunderbolt’. Free-rolling, it can be used like any other piece of rolling stock, however, it is designed so it can also fit an internal motor chassis to work with the unpowered N Gauge Lion/Thunderbolt (separately available). An additional box is provided that, filled with lead, fits onto the chassis to give tractive power.
Necessary to Complete:
• Graham Farish wagon wheels
• Couplings (ELC couplings can be modified, but the method used is at the builder’s discretion)
• Weight (there are small areas on the underside and additional space within the coach body if necessary)
To motorise:
• Tsugawa Micro loco n-gauge chassis – TU-7T
• Weight (to add to the chassis box)
Optional additional details to scratchbuild (at the builder’s discretion):
• Brake levers (their hangers are pre-printed)
• Stove-pipe chimney
